Some time ago I offered to send you some sketches of Garibaldi which were drawn by George Housman Thomas in Rome in 1849-50.
He was there to make a Birds Eye view of the city for the Illustrated London News and recorded the seige etc.
I will try to attach jpg images- I may need to send more than one email.
As well as these four drawings I have a view of the Piazza Navona – one of his scenes for his commission, a sketch of a couple of (possible) soldiers which his ILN print may have used, and a view of the Vatican and Castel st Angelo from across the Tiber with what appear to be horse lines in the foreground- these could also be of interest to your members.

Tempo fa mi offrii di inviarvi alcuni disegni su Garibaldi che furono eseguiti da George Housman Thomas in Roma tra il 1849 ed il 1850.
Cercherò di allegare queste immagini – probabilmente dovrò inviare più di un’e-mail.
Oltre questi quattro disegni posseggo una veduta di Piazza Navona – una delle scene per cui si era recato a Roma, lo schizzo di una coppia di soldati (probabilmente) che il l’Illustrated London’s New potrebbe aver pubblicato, ed una vista del Vaticano e di Castel Sant Angelo ripresa attraverso il Tevere con alcune tracce che sembrano essere cavalli in primo piano – credo che anche questo possa interessare i vostri soci.
